Incident Protocol
The Haüs of Bliss Incident Protocol exists to support safety and accountability within the community. Its purpose is to respond to concerns with care, reduce the likelihood of repeat harm, and protect both individuals and the integrity of the space.
This protocol is not a legal process. It is a community care process.
You do not need certainty, proof, or immediacy to raise a concern.
When to Use This Protocol
You are encouraged to use the Incident Protocol if something feels unsafe, confusing, concerning, or out of alignment with Community Standards or Haüs Rules.
If you are unsure whether something is “serious enough,” you may still report it.
This includes situations that occur:
- During a Haüs of Bliss event
- After an event
- In Haüs of Bliss discord channel or direct messages
- Before an event, if a concern may impact safety inside the space
Levels of Infraction & Consequences
Haüs of Bliss operates under a two-strike accountability system. Strikes remain on record for two years from the date they are issued.
Infractions are assessed based on impact, intent, and pattern, not popularity, visibility, or role in the community.
Level 1 Infraction
Level 1 infractions typically involve behavior that is disruptive, ungrounding, or violates consent or standards in a minor and/or likely unintentional way.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Unnegotiated or unclear touch
- Mishearing or misunderstanding stated boundaries
- Inappropriate or unwanted direct messages
- Name-calling or verbal conflict between members
- Failure to obtain required STI testing prior to an event
- Minor violations of Haüs Rules
Possible consequences may include:
- Formal warning
- Required reflection or education
- Temporary limits on play or participation
- One strike recorded
Level 2 Infraction
Level 2 infractions involve overt, intentional, or high-impact behavior that significantly undermines safety, consent, or trust.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Blatant consent violations
- Coercion or pressure to override boundaries
- Sharing intimate images or recordings without consent
- Falsifying or misrepresenting STI test results
- Doxxing or targeted harassment
Possible consequences may include:
- Immediate removal from an event
- Timed suspension from future events
- Required consent education
- One strike recorded
In the case of required consent education, examples of consent education looks like (but not limited to):
- Authentic Consent through ATLTantra
- The Consent Wheel workshop by Betty Martin
- One-on-one consent training with a certified consent practitioner
Reinstatement is assessed case-by-case.
Level 3 Infraction
Level 3 infractions represent severe harm, repeated misconduct, or egregious violations of consent and safety.
Examples include:
- Sexual assault
- Stealthing
- Physical violence
- Severe retaliation or intimidation
- Patterned predatory behavior
A Level 3 infraction results in an automatic expulsion of membership.
Reporting Periods
a) During an Event
If something is happening during a Haüs of Bliss event:
- Find Lady of the Haüs or a Guardian immediately.
- Focus will be on immediate safety and stabilization.
- Possible actions include separating parties, offering grounding support, limiting substances, or asking someone to leave the event.
Decisions made during an event are immediate safety interventions. They are not final determinations of fault, strikes, or long-term consequences.
Those involved in the incident will be asked to submit reports the following day.
b) After or Between Events
Some experiences require time, distance, or reflection to fully understand. You may submit a report after an event or between events if something comes into focus later.
This includes:
- Processing discomfort after the fact
- Recognizing a boundary violation in hindsight
- Noticing a pattern over time
- Concerns arising from online or private interactions
Reports submitted after or between events are treated with the same seriousness and care as those raised in the moment.
c) Alternative Reporting Route
If a concern involves leadership or facilitation of Haüs of Bliss, members may report directly to the ATLTantra community as an external accountability option.
What Happens After a Report Is Submitted
a) Incident Workflow
- Reporters receive an immediate confirmation email after submitting a report.
- Reports are reviewed directly by Lady of the Haüs within 24 hours.
- After review, reporters receive a second email outlining next steps and what to expect from the process.
- Reporters are invited to confirm or request adjustments to the proposed plan to support their psychological safety, where applicable.
- Lady of the Haüs then contacts the accused party(ies) and any named bystanders.
- After all information is collected, a final review is conducted to assess safety, severity, level of infraction, and appropriate response.
- If applicable or requested, a resolution meeting may be scheduled.
b) Support for Reporters
Members who submit reports may request:
- A support check-in
- Guidance around returning to events or navigating community spaces
Support is offered without obligation to pursue further action.
c) Community Communication
All incidents result in community-wide communication once the incident workflow has concluded.
These communications exist to promote transparency, reinforce shared standards, and reduce speculation or rumor.
Community-wide messages:
- Describe the nature of the incident at a high level
- Share the process and final resolution
- Do not include the identities of reporters or impacted parties, except in cases of Level 3 infractions where expelled members are named.
Confidentiality & Influence
All incident reports are handled as confidential.
Haüs of Bliss is a relatively small and interconnected community. While absolute anonymity cannot always be guaranteed, we commit to:
- Minimum-necessary disclosure
- Handling reports with discretion and care
- Not basing outcomes on popularity, experience level, or community visibility
Any attempt to intimidate, isolate, punish, or retaliate against someone for raising a concern is considered a serious violation and may result in membership expulsion.
A Living Process
This protocol may evolve as the community learns and grows.
If you have feedback about how this process is working, you are encouraged to share it directly to the Lady of the Haüs at [email protected].
